2 Reliability Analysis of transportation packaging

reliability of transportation packaging is also known as packaging dynamic reliability. The so-called reliability is generally defined as the ability of a product or structural system to complete specified functions under certain load conditions and within a certain time range [3]

to comprehensively measure the reliability of a product, in addition to considering the inherent reliability and use reliability, it must also include the packaging reliability. Packaging reliability involves all external factors caused by vibration, impact, temperature and humidity, climatic conditions, biological conditions, etc. in the circulation link. However, because the damage of products mainly comes from impact and vibration, packaging reliability focuses on these two. The higher the reliability of packaging for inspection, the lower the damage rate is obviously, but the cost of packaging will increase. Therefore, analyzing, studying and calculating the reliability of product packaging has become an indispensable part of the comprehensive evaluation of product performance system, and has also become an important means to improve the structural design of transportation packaging [4]

3 Transportation Packaging CAD

Lu Lixin and others introduced the overall structure, functional modules and key technologies of the buffer packaging CAD system based on graphics library and database [7]

4. Its main characteristics are as follows: 1. Dynamic simulation and finite element analysis (FEA)

dynamic simulation technology and FEA method are combined to form a product performance prediction theory suitable for the actual situation, and then through the experimental verification in the laboratory, a reasonable and appropriate evaluation is made on the final structural design scheme of transportation packaging. The simulation and prediction results of the theoretical model are proved to be reliable and correct by experiments, which can solve the performance analysis of similar structural systems

the general procedure of this method is: input the comprehensive characteristics of the packaging/product structure system and the characteristics of cushioning materials for packaging; Using FEA method, the product packaging structure system is discretized in a suitable lattice, and the corresponding mathematical and mechanical model is established; Take the dynamic load that the product/packaging system may bear in the transportation and circulation environment as the excitation; FEA method is used to analyze which/which vulnerable parts and their positions exist in the product/packaging system, obtain the response, and then analyze the vulnerability and reliability of its structure; Finally, the brittle value of the product and its damage boundary curve, the resonance frequency of the structural system, the dynamic response curve of the vulnerable parts, the parts that may be damaged and the failure mode are output [2]. Feng Guangping and others proposed to analyze the structure and packaging scheme of refrigerator products by using the CAE simulation software (marcpatrandytran, etc.) of MSC company in the United States, and found out the deficiencies in product design and packaging scheme design, so as to reduce product costs and improve the protection ability of packaging to products [8]

4. 2 Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA)

sea is the optimization method of predictive analysis tools and structural systems, and has practical potential in the vibration load test of related products and materials of transportation packaging. This method can predict the weakest link in the product packaging system, and then analyze its ability to resist or bear dynamic loads under certain transportation environmental conditions, such as predicting the mechanical impact embrittlement value, which is the practical value of applying sea in transportation packaging

in order to promote the development of statistical energy analysis (SEA), some university laboratories have carried out a series of experimental research, which has also promoted the vibration experimental research of materials and products in transportation packaging and the possible practical application of various results. The results of laboratory tests show that sea will have a very broad application prospect in the test and evaluation of product packaging
